Principal investigator, Professor Yuxiang Weng
Dr. Weng was graduated from the department of chemistry, East China Normal University with a BS degree with honor in 1985 and a master degree in physical chemistry in 1988 at the same department. From 1990 to 1993 he pursued his PhD degree in laser physics in the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After got his PhD degree in 1993, he joined the State Key Laboratory of Transient and Steady State Molecular Structure in the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a staff. Later, he joined Prof. Chi-Ming Ches group in the department of chemistry, the University of Hong Kong as a university postdoctor in 1994, and moved to Prof. Tianquan Lians group in the department of chemistry, Emory University, Atlanta, GA in 1997 and came back to China in 1999. He was supported by “Hundreds Talents Project” in 2000, and was promoted as a professor in the same year. Currently he is the group leader of SM06 which opened in 2005 and the deputy director of the laboratory of the soft matter physics.

Associate Professor   Zhuan Wang
Dr. Wang received her B.S. from Tianjin University in 2000 and got her Ph.D. degree in the field of Optical engineering in 2005. And then she joined Takayoshi Kobayashi group in the University of Tokyo and the University of Electro-Communications. In 2009, she came back to China in 2009 and joined Prof. Yuxiang Weng’s group in the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and supported by “Hundred Talents Program -Class B”. Her current research focuses on dynamics of photo generated carriers, defect state of the photo catalyst and its relation to the property of photo catalysis.

Associate Professor   Hailong Chen
Dr. Chen received his B.S. from Peking University in 2006 and his Ph.D. from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2011. After got his Ph.D. degree, he became a postdoctoral research associate in the department of chemistry at Rice University in America, and then came back to China in 2016. Since 2016, he has been an associate professor in the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and supported by “Hundred Talents Program -Class B”. His current research focuses on ultrafast spectroscopy of various optoelectronic materials, including 2D materials and van der Waals heterostructures, organic and inorganic semiconductors, photocatalytic semiconductor nanoparticles.
